Who we are

We are a young organisation, but our mission is rooted in decades of community experience and guided by a deep commitment to gender equity. We work from India, reaching girls and women in deprived and marginalised communities, supported by the generosity of grant-making bodies and individual philanthropists and donors who share our vision.

The name ‘Naari’, the Sanskrit and Hindi word for woman, is at the heart of everything we do. It is a celebration of womanhood, a recognition of resilience, and a commitment to ensuring that women from India’s most underserved communities are no longer invisible to the systems that should be serving them.
